The president is the head of the executive branch there are members of that branch and other branches who are there to aid and put checks on the president based on his policies, members of the senate are elected because they represent their states vote, they are there to make sure that laws are passed in a way that satisfies each state and also vote fairly on decisions. The president is meant to head the government using the power granted by the people for the people, he has to follow his policies in a way that shouldn't harm the american public and if possible protect it. The issue is that a president with unchecked power that can fire anyone and replace them or be at the perfect time to replace someone for a lifetime position means that and only appoint loyalist that will follow his will is called a king, a king is what a democracy tries to avoid but this is what these 2 hatemongers are praising. If a billionaire like trump, whose family and allies have huge stakes in various businesses and corporations, has no checks and he starts giving tax cuts to said rich people and corporations but can only make it back through tariffs who is gonna pay? If you read program 2025, which is a document that all of the Trump inner circle is supporting, there are plans to give him power to fire any individual who he doesn't approve of and replace them with loyalists. It also includes plans to slash or remove the DOE and the DOJ in order to make up for the deficit tax cuts on the rich. Removing or even reducing the Department of education which will mean already poorly funded schools will have to cut back on staff and resources in a country where education was already not a priority, meaning a whole generation of children could grow even more misinformed than ever before. Removal or reduction of the Department of Justice, and the Environmental protection agency for that matter, will mean a lot of laws and regulations will be overwritten or simply ignored, corporations could have free reins to build in protected lands like native reservations or those with endangered wildlife. Even the proposed tariffs, that no-one in a MAGA government is going to oppose, will mean that businesses are going to cut back on employees and raises, since less than 2 weeks after his win companies already started buying as much product as possible because they don't want to pay the tariffs, so they're already cutting down on personnel (losing american jobs) in order to make up for the tax hike that Trump is creating to make for the massive deficit that comes with massive billionaire pay cuts. Add that with his wanting to remove overtime pay, which he will do once he cuts back on the Department of Labor, and people will be having a hard time with the cost of living increases. Now add removing all the undocumented immigrants, which makes up for 40% of our agricultural work force, meaning american made food will become more expensive since they'll have to hire people on minimum wage (while minimum wage still exists, remember slashing the DOL) and cost of living increases again, and since undocumented immigrants put in more than 80 billion dollars into social security and Healthcare every year that removes a huge backbone to our social programs. Let's keep going, if Healthcare gets slashed that means it gets more expensive, which means less people can pay for it life expectancy starts to go down, as is already being in areas where proper medical care has become too expensive. OK let's put it all together, you have a leader who surrounded himself with a cult that thinks he can do no wrong when he's threatening to undermine our democracy by removing the rule of law and threatening to take action against anyone that speaks against him, groups of high status allies who follow the leader as long as they're OK, a work force that is getting less educated, less payed, less informed, less protected and get penalized if they arbitrarily break a rule that goes against the new regime that's called: A dictatorship or an oligarchy it's what happened in Haiti, in North Korea , Russia a bunch of places. I love the idea of this country but we let a fascist come into the highest office of a country that was meant to stand for freedom and liberty. One of the most well known actions in the plan is getting rid of or reducingthe Department of education and the Department of Justice and Environmental protection agencies, a big part because they seem useless to him and it will help make up for the budget deficit (it won't) and because they reduce his power to act. A big part of the project is giving him the ability to fire anyone on a whim and replace them with loyalists, as there are already significant amount of government personnel in the MAGA cult which could allow Trump to have full control over one or more branches of government.

Our greatest periods of economic growth were under Clinton Obama and biden while the last 2 Bush administration's put us deeper in debt with one of tye worst recessions happening as Bush was leaving office and the blame put at Obamas feet. Obama gives us Healthcare and social programs (which are fought all the way by right wing senate) and makes life a bit more affordable, within 8 years of a recession. Then trump comes in, saying that his appearance in office made the economy better, inflation goes up during his presidency and the dollar loses a lot of value, "not his fault" (it kind of is considering all the right policies he plans are to reinforce the ultra rich power on the market) the debt goes on significantly because he reopened the economy to soon and cut out a lot of relief programs, even tried to cut back on the ones we got. 8 trillion in debt in one of the worst mismanagement of a viral infection, the programs he cut (to make up for billionaire tax cuts) included viral protection policies and relief for such an occasion. Economy and necessary programs got cut, people aren't happy that a guy with no government experience tries to run this country like one of his failing businesses, dems win, semi insurrection happens where the ex presidents kult attack government building... the atteckers get in trouble and trump says they got to rowdy after they murdered a lady. Biden gets in ,whole lot of trouble, spends essentially 3 years undoing trump decision and stops the rise of $ inflation through even spending and stimulating the economy. The economy isn't fixed yet, if trump does his plan and we pay out the butt we will feel it, there's not gonna be an Obama blanket, Trump has supported governments with collapsing economies and a starving lower class as long as the rich win he don't give a fuck. The problem is that 49.9 of voters went for him, a despot dreaming of being Putin or a Kim is not a good image for this country, USA THE western democracy looking like racist assholes, because that's the image we're sending out, kind of takes away the image we want to have as a land of opportunity, this will make other "democracies" where the leaders came in with a dictatorial attitude seem more legitimate and make democracies lose credibility. Without a properly (or even poorly) funded department of education public schools will have to reduce the number of teachers and resources meaning our already poorly educated youth will either have to enter a work force, find expensive private education or maybe apply to trump university. Without Department of Justice, and a reduced EPA, a lot of basic laws and regulations will become ignored and penalties on polluters and other white collar criminals will be lowered. Even the undocumented immigrants are necessary to our current capitalist system, 40 percent of menial and agricultural jobs in the US are held by them while the money they make puts billions into the american Healthcare and social security system and he wants to get rid of huge part of the american work, create price hikes, lower overtime pay and union benefits while promising that it's for everyone's benefit while the only advantage goes to the billionaires that are thanking him and the allies he hasn't screwed over yet. As much as a lot of both conservatives and liberals have done bad shit in the past none of them have made it this close to the capitalist nightmare potential of America. The highest 10% will reap the benefits, while the rest struggle with Healthcare hiking up, which as is already happening the lowest income households are having lower life expectancies due to poor conditions and lack of medical care, lack of basic good due to price hikes as tariffs will be going up next year, poorly educated masses will work for low income for massive corporations that will somehow keep getting bigger and bigger... this is the american version of how every dictator or oligarch begins, and these 2 asslickers are praising because they're pretty sure their position will protect them. I also think the OP was being sarcastic. So project 2025 has a lot of vague plans and guidelines how to run the government, one of the most important tenants is that the President in power would be able to fire anyone on whim and replace them with a loyalist (which is the opposite of meritocracy which is the platform musk and Trump were faking) and would given unprecedented over different government departments.
