I wish I could grill like that! I lived in northern Virginia for 5 years and my neighbor was a black family and the husband use to grill every weekend and he was the best!!! He should have opened a catering business. I miss that family!

Did you keep in touch with them? Wondering how they’re doing today.

The story about the kid who told his doctor that his medication wasn’t working… I don’t understand why the doctor didn’t tell this kid that you need to give it six weeks before it really kicks in. I know this because my sister is on medication for depression and anxiety for as long as she lives. People also need to be told that there may come a time where the medication will no longer work and doctors will need to experiment to find what will work. I use to live in northern VA and travelled for work. I’ve driven through a lot of southern WV. Beautiful countryside but was sad to see all the dilapidated/abandoned homes. Great video and I will subscribe to see where else you go.

Every time I listen to a survivor it gets me so emotional. God bless you Lucy!

@BillyBlankStare don’t be an idiot. Why would the survivors have those numbers tattooed on their arm. Explain that. I’m waiting

He mentioned Greenbank WV where there’s zero internet. I had a two day job there at the middle and high school about 7-8 yrs ago. The only way I had internet service was to go to the lobby of the little motel I stayed at. In my actual motel room there was no service. It was so peaceful and relaxing in that little town. The drive to Greenbank once I crossed the WV state line from VA was a beautiful drive and it was so sad to see all of the abandoned/dilapidated houses. Southern and southeast WV is the most beautiful of all of WV in my opinion. I grew up in the panhandle, Moundsville area and it’s not as nice up there. Omg, he mentioned party line (landline), that’s what we had when I was a teenager living in northern WV. This was early 80s. That’s so comical.

@lidiaspazzard my question is, why do you not believe it happened? Why would these survivors, who are in their 90s now, have a number tattooed on their left forearm? Riddle me that! It happened! My German grandfather served for the Nazis, he had no choice, and when he heard what was happening at the concentration camps he became anti-Nazi. My grandmother said he hated the Nazis and what they were doing to the Jewish. Does this also mean you don’t believe slavery happened either?
