She lied, yes, but she didn’t kill him and didn’t tell her husband to kill Emmitt. So every single one of you who have lied, should all go to jail. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Her day is coming when she crosses over and Emmitt will be there to confront her. He will have his day!

@rachelalex9374 just because she said that lie doesn’t mean her husband had to believe her and kill Emmitt. People are known to lie and you just don’t take peoples words at face value. And yes I understand back in those days things were messed up between the races. The fact remains she did not kill him herself. Her husband did. She didn’t even witness it happen. She was not there. Blame the members of that jury! And yes, I 100% wish she hadn’t lied. She had no idea that Emmett had a lisp and when he spoke he would accidentally whistle when he spoke. His mama did warn him about the people in the south and he just should’ve said thank you and been on his way. He would still be here. It’s extremely sad no matter how you look at it. It’s one of the saddest stories I will never forget.
