  1. Not that I agree with her, but Truss was upfront about her policies before she became leader. There seems to be a serious disconnect here then between the Tory Party membership and parliamentary Tory Party. Not only that, but nor did she have a parliamentary mandate or electoral mandate for what she was proposing.
