  1. He's having a laugh trying to credit all these things to privatisation as if, had the the water industry remained nationalised, none of these things would have happened. It's a common ruse in these circumstances, but it's still a ruse. Thames Water has been used as a cash cow for decades by a succession of often foreign owners and a vehicle to be loaded up with debt to the tune of £14bn and counting. It's in the sh*t because the interest on that huge borrowed pile has gone up exponentially in a very short period of time and we, the UK taxpayers and bill payers, are on the hook for it one way or another.

  2. Not a fan of Lineker by any means but his win against HMRC was fully justified.
