Emblematic of our insane binary times where criticising the Ukraine war immediately makes someone an apologist for Putin and all Russia's actions in the country and defending Brand and what should be his (and anyone else's) automatic right to due process is equated with being a defender of sexual violence against women. Intellectually barren and dishonest and all, ultimately, fiendishly contrived to squash free speech. Grim. Truly grim.

  3. Kevin Spacey, Alex Salmond, Cliff Richard, Julian Assange, Jim Davidson, Paul Gambuccini. These are just the high profile ones we know about. All examples of people who have been the subject of these kinds of allegations and who have either effectively been found innocent or seen charges dropped. There but for the Grace of God go the rest of us basically and anyone who thinks that what is happening to Brand without due process is ok or him getting his just desserts should hang their heads in shame. Including this vile Drainage woman.

  4.  @DolphinsPlayingInAquaMoonlight  You either have faith in due process or you don't. The legal system is always inevitably flawed and fallible but once you cease to believe in it as, at its core, a separate, truly independent arm of our government then all is lost for our democracy.
