Comments by "gerhard7" (@gerhard7323) on "Alexei Navalny: 'Putin would have NOT caused his death - it makes NO sense!' | Steve Gill" video.
Probably the last we'll see of Steve on GB News and UK media then...😊

Certainly in terms of the Western narrative a Navalny dead as a martyr, apparently murdered by Putin, is a far more valuable propaganda asset than a Navalny alive fading into obscurity in an arctic prison.

@dianecameron137 His good name isn't being discredited by the suggestion that there might have been other greater forces at work in his early demise. Personally I don't think there were in his case, but it's not unreasonable to suggest it given Kelly's untimely mysterious demise or even the concocted anti-Semitism conspiracy around Corbyn or the earlier repeated rumours circulating around Harold Wilson.

@Shotkangaroo Navalny was viewed as a Western asset purely because he was in opposition to Putin and his perceived corruption. He was a Russian nationalist who approved of Russia's 2008 invasion of Georgia done for much the same reasons as Putin's more recent invasion of Ukraine ie their potential Nato membership. He, had he become leader, would likely have done exactly the same. We have this tendency in the West to swallow our own propaganda too easily and assume that if we get rid of X then Y will automatically always be better. It's dumb, it's lazy and all too often it's wrong. Just ask an Iraqi, Egyptian, Syrian or Libyan.

@chkldstgee2433 Deep states will resort to killing their own if they're viewed as a significant security threat. The UK has likely done it, as shown in the examples given, as has the US with both the Kennedy brothers. Portraying Russia or Putin as somehow heinously unique is for the birds...gulls mainly.
