  1. The EU average inflation rate, and I stress 'average', is 8.8% and the UK's is 9.1%. Some EU countries have inflation exceeding both those figures, including the Netherlands, and yet they have not voted to democratically leave the EU ie Brexit. Similarly, much is made of the tanking GBP, but it's quite obvious with anyone interested in looking at the figures that pretty much EVERY major currency, bar the Russian Rouble funnily enough, is tanking as everyone rushes to the perceived safe haven of the USD.

  2.  @itawolf2494  Again, not sure where people are getting their figures from on this thread but inflation in Italy, as of today, has been marked as 8%.
