  1. What EVERYONE needs to understand is that at its most basic level the public debt is equal to the EXACT cent of a private surplus. Basic accounting. We're ALL invested in the debt to a greater or lesser degree through our pensions etc, but the BIG question is who and where is essentially profiting from it (at interest) the most? It's IMPORTANT because the public debt is the thing that EVERYONE focuses on and it is the narrative constantly used to justify cuts and austerity and, perhaps even more ironically, further tax cuts for the wealthy under the false pretext that they will somehow engender further 'growth'. It's a scam of monumental proportions hidden for decades in plain sight.
