  2. The big irony here being that the self-styled 'beacon of democracy' that is the United States is obsessed with alleged foreign interference in its own elections.

  3. The last 20 years or so proves that the US keeps looking for any excuse to chisel away at and undermine Venezuela's democracy. Rather like being critical of the US led war in Ukraine isn't somehow an automatic endorsement of Putin nor is criticising the US's endless meddling in the democratic processes of a sovereign country like Venezuela an endorsement of Maduro.
