Ask yourselves why would these companies, Murdoch's Times and the UK taxpayer subsidized C4, devote a full four years of their time and spend huge amounts of supposedly precious resources on investigating Russell Brand if there wasn't an ulterior motive at play? With all the corruption and criminality going on the world deeply affecting millions it seems like one helluva costly, time-consuming sledgehammer employed to crack a supposedly tiny nut like Brand.
