Me neither. I lived in and went to college in West London in the early 90s. Lots of black and brown faces there and 'race' - I hate that word - was never an issue really. The two coolest kids on campus were 'Indian' fellas. Perhaps the only instance I recall was that during that time I had a Sikh Indian girlfriend who swore she could never tell her father that she was going out with 'a white boy'. No biggie. Found it a little odd, but didn't have a major problem with it. She had her reasons and it made no real difference to us at the time as we were both living away from home.
