  1. Twas forever thus, but the sad fact of the matter is that it suits both the major Western and Arab powers to use both the Palestinian and Israelis as pawns in their own geopolitical power games. Israel couldn't and wouldn't continue to exist without the political support, money and military hardware provided by the West and likewise Palestinians remain a mighty useful bit of leverage for regional big powers like Iran and KSA. Countries that likely quietly despise them. And let's not forget that Israel wouldn't exist in the first place if it were not for the West's, particularly Europe's, desire to deal with what they once perceived as their own Jewish issue. Jews and Palestinians have far more in common with each other than they imagine ironically.

  4. Flat out intellectually lazy to call Hamas a death cult. Hamas has undeniably committed some horrific crimes, particularly recently, against humanity but let's not forget so has the IDF acting under the apparent international respectability of the Israeli state. Let's make no bones about this, a crime is a crime no matter who commits it. The moral justification after the fact is really the fundamental issue here not whether a crime has been committed or not.
