  1. Douglas Murray some time ago made the case for social stigma and its positive role in society. We're not talking about hating on people, ostracizing them or deliberately making them feel miserable, but there's a reason that human beings today generally brush their teeth and hair everyday, wear clothes, don't rut in public and do anti-social stuff and it's not because a majority of people in the past walked around saying to each other that they should feel free to do what the f*ck they want. Being morbidly obese IS a bad thing and a bad thing most of all for the person who is morbidly obese. Don't kid me for one second that a morbidly obese person doesn't wish they weren't. Nevermind covid, there's an pandemic of 'misplaced kindness' going around and, frankly, it's bad for everyone and like covid it seems there is no known cure for it currently.
