  1. A POI for those who might be interested. The average annualized return on the S&P 500(or equivalent) for the last 150 years adjusted for inflation and excluding dividends is a whisker under 2.4%. Over both 100 and 50 years it's around 3.2%, over 30 it's just over 5%, over 20 it's 4.9%, over 10 it's 8% and over the last 5 it's 4.5%.
