  1. Globalization today can be seen in the context of the 'somewheres vs anywheres' argument posited by David Goodhart with regard to Brexit. Give the 'somewheres' ie those who feel a genuine affinity to a particular place an actual specific democratic choice about globalization then they'll like exercise it against the interests of the 'anywhere' globalists. 'Anywheres', the primary enduring beneficiaries of globalization, can and easily do move somewhere else once somewhere has been rendered redundant and/or despoiled. The 'somewheres' mostly can't and/or don't wish to.
