  3. It'll never be free. Governments will always tax whatever they can get away with. Windows and salt used to be taxed remember. The fundamentals of life energy and water are easy prey.

  4. Er, how about we have an energy mix, including fossil and renewables, with nuclear acting as the ultimate base load? Fossil fuels, whether you believe in ACC or not are finite and won't last forever by definition so it makes sense to seek alternatives now regardless. What I object to is that this is all being driven by instilling fear and guilt in the eternally hard pressed and, as usual, a certain wealthy cabal with the sharp ears of government are making away like the thieves that they always are at others' expense.
