  2. What is it, I wonder, that presumably everyone in the world understood in the 1980/90s as MAD, Mutually Assured Destruction, that most people today seemingly don't? Ninety percent of the world's nuclear weapons are split evenly between Russia and the US/Nato and neither has a doctrinal policy of NFU or No First Use, unlike China or India. How do people seriously think this is going to end well if Russia is pushed into a corner and is threatened existentially?
