  1. And before all the EU fanboys and girls start crowing, Denmark is increasingly a significant outlier within the bloc. The EU area more generally is seriously floundering as was freely admitted by Draghi recently and has been for decades. His solution, as is ALWAYS the EU's solution, is that Europe needs more EU not less and, surprise surprise, more money from its members flowing to its centre.

  3. The UK and its population, back in the 1980s, decided to base its economy around a rentier class, ever greater wealth concentration, trickle down theory and expanding indebtedness. We are reaping the wild wind we have spent decades sowing.
