  1. Can't blame them, but Bank of Mum and Dad are effectively helping to prop up the system of overpriced property by helping their kids borrow more than they otherwise could afford. Ultimately it doesn't help address the overall mismatch between people's earnings generally and what they can afford as all it does is 'artificially' sustain the higher prices.
