  1. Rand Paul was also the only senator who did his job questioning the $40bn military package for Ukraine. By far most of that aid is military not humanitarian and nobody really knows where any of it is going. It's not just about whether US taxpayers are being fleeced here, it's in whose hands might these weapons might end up. Indiscriminate US 'largesse' in Afghanistan indirectly led to the creation of Al Qaeda and in Iraq and Syria helped to create ISIS.
