  3. UK Labour Party member Ken Livingstone, bless his soul, made similar 'controversial' statements regarding Hitler and his name was dragged through the mud, not least by UK Zionists. He was, however, completely correct. Israel was indeed born of both European and American anti-Semitism, obviously most manifest in Europe at the time. Problem being, its creation was designed to shift a perceived problem (where there should've been none) to somewhere else ie then colonial Palestine thereby creating a far bigger more intractable problem.
