  1. This really just goes to show that racism is fear of people that we don't know, don't look like us and don't act like us. In that sense it's not entirely irrational for someone from what is a basically an homogeneous 'caucasian' country like Ukraine to feel the way they do coming here. It might be uncomfortable, unpleasant to us even, but not irrational. I know lots of essentially white Christian East Europeans and the ones I know are all very nice people, but I don't kid myself that most aren't racist in their outlooks, particularly toward POC.
