Let's face it, all these discussions are effectively debated and prefaced under the collective belief that there is some kind of 'international rules based order'. The 'international rules based order', even if such a thing exists, is still essentially defined by the US on any given day. To quote Humpty Dumpty, "When I use a word" From Alice in Wonderland, Humpty Dumpty says, "When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less". "Which is to be master" In response to Alice asking if he can make words mean many different things, Humpty Dumpty replies, "The question is, Which is to be master---that's all". 'Humpty Dumpty', of course, eventually climbs too high and 'has a great fall'....

Why are you scared of people listening to other POVs? Presumably you never feel the need to question the official narrative? When, exactly, did something like the Gulf of Tonkin incident register with you as a false flag designed to bring the US into the Vietnam war? Or perhaps even it still hasn't?

@garyddlewis3067 The US, to date, has provided most of the military funding plus a substantial chunk of EU funding has actually come 'illegally' as interest accrued on illegally frozen Russian asset. What happens when Trump becomes POTUS in a few weeks is another question. Over to you, Gary....

@garyddlewis3067 Rather oddly spelt my name wrong there Gary, but by the by... Unlike you, I'm struggling with nothing. You're just stating random large numbers as if they're correct and like they actually mean something. They don't. Europe rehoming Ukrainian immigrants has got diddly to do with the price of fish either. Much of the monies pledged to Ukraine comes from interest on illegally frozen Russian assets and further to that much of it, from both the US and the EU, is in the form of loans. What remains to be seen is what actually happens next year to that level of funding, both military and non-military, from both the US and EU for Ukraine.

Dollar hegemony is the key to US imperial power and interests. It allows the US to essentially dictate to any state in the world what is and isn't an acceptable ruler, government or elite to them through sanctions. Ultimately the Assad regime in Syria fell so quickly and without a fight because of the years of crippling sanctions imposed on it. A tiny, benighted, powerless Cuba and its population remains sanctioned by the US after 65 years as an abject lesson 'pour encourager les autres'.
