  2. Modern corporate capitalism, essentially crypto-fascism, operates an extractive economic system that, ultimately, is doomed to break. Once it inevitably breaks, of course, war and destruction offer the very same people who profited from the former an opportunity to profit handsomely from the latter. Rinse and repeat, basically.

  6. The elites approach to war generally is akin Netanyahu's 'mowing the grass' in Gaza. The potentially uppity 'proles', unfortunately, sometimes need to be reminded as to who is boss and must be periodically pared down accordingly.
