  3. This will likely lead to another refugee crisis both for Europe AND for Erdogan's Turkey. A country which has long 'protected', at great enduring financial cost I might add, Europe from a massive influx of refugees fleeing ongoing unrest and persecution in the ME. A Turkish population that has also recently signalled to its establishment that it no longer was willing to accept ever more refugees. This then is an act of pure folly if it were fostered by Erdogan that would likely further destabilise a politically polarized Europe already reeling from both a refugee crisis AND the Ukraine war.
