  3. It's ironic that ascendent countries like China are actually embodying what was once proudly considered the American Dream in America. Constantly striving to improve their lot through ingenuity, tenacity and sheer hard work. America and others in the West see this, fear it and endeavour to stifle it not least because through their own increasingly neo-feudal technocratic systems 'the plebs' feel less and less invested in and more alienated from their own societies.
