When you consider that the US has during the 'American Century' become the master storyteller it makes perfect sense that it has sought, largely successfully, to control the narrative through its media output, particularly in the West. Little wonder that the potential for 'sunlight' presented by the internet fills so many within the dark corridors of power with dread.
