  1. Nato was created by the US after WW2 predominantly in its own interests in order to keep the Americans IN Europe, the Germans DOWN and the Russians OUT. Thus far, to American minds, it's still doing its job. Ukraine has just been played and sacrificed in order to satisfy that US policy aim.
