If it can treat many of its own people like that then it's hardly a surprise that it can treat foreigners with the same level of contempt or worse.

  5. The US economy today is around 26% of global GDP, around 16% by PPP and it accounts for a 60% share of global stock markets. That's an overextended financialised economy punching WAY above its economic weight right there.

  8. Taiwan is de jure part of China. Very few countries recognize Taiwan as a legal sovereign entity. Even the United States doesn't!! Further to that, there is no defense agreement between the US and Taiwan likely for this reason and nor does Taiwan have an official seat at the UN. It hasn't since 1971. Unfortunately for you these two 'idiots' know what they're talking about and you (and seemingly way too many in the sabre rattling US government) don't.

  9. 'Defending democratic Taiwan's sovereignty' is a useful if spurious narrative for the US instigating conflict with China just as it was with Ukraine. Most of the world, including both the US and UK incidentally, DOESN'T recognise Taiwan as a de jure sovereign country.
