  4. War, unfortunately, is profitable. Wars are very often bankers' wars. Little wonder that Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Blackrock etc are...or at least were...licking their lips over the prospect of rebuilding 'a victorious' Ukraine.

  5. The US is a de facto military state. A number of very powerful wealthy individuals and corporations wish to keep it that way. Unwinding that isn't just the Devil's own job, any decision to do so is fraught with both personal and societal dangers.
