  3. Europe's back, largely through its own decades of poor decision making and backing the wrong horses, is now properly up against the wall. What this means, of course, is that our societies will have to collectively pull together and often sacrifice in order to lift us out of this self-inflicted mire. This then will be a test born not only of our making, but also informed by those past choices.
