First thanks to the GFC, QE, ZIRP, then covid there's simply been too much unproductive money/debt created and there's now way too much of it floating about. This is partly the reason why Ponzi-esque nonsense like cryptos gained traction and are now most likely falling back to zero where they belong. Plus overlong, fragile, JIT supply chains are now knackered thanks to covid and demand far exceeds supply. How else do you mop up this man-made inflationary monetary mess without tax rises, interest rate rises or an induced recession Mr Stiglitz?
