  1. Hardly mainstream news but KSA is importing (yes, importing) more heavily discounted Russian oil over its high summer demand period. KSA's alleged limited capacity to significantly increase its supply means that it can sell its own (unlike Russia) on the world market at far higher world prices. If Biden secures 'a promise' of extra oil it'll look like a political win for him and KSA looks to be helping the West out in its time of need. Yay! Make of that what you will.....
