What he's saying to her is don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Trump sure as hell ain't anywhere close to being perfect not least because he's really one of 'them' and he wouldn't be where he was if he wasn't, but in relative terms the man is by far the lesser of the two credible evils currently on offer.

Trump's problem is he's TOO honest. Whether you think it's good or bad, none of the others would openly admit that they are undeniably in thrall to the powerful US Israel lobby. If you're looking at genuine election interference look to Israel, KSA even, but don't look to Russia.
