Nice to see a voice of reason on this for a change. It should be a bleeding obvious statement that, but there's always someone out there desperately trying to virtue signal. It's the curse of our modern age.

Murray, I hope not deliberately here because I like to think he's far smarter and better than that, is deliberately conflating anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism. It's a wicked, dangerous, inflammatory conflation cynically confusing religion and ethnicity with nationalism.

What happened to those Israelis was a human tragedy. Truly awful. What's now happening in Gaza equally so. As ever though this has literally nothing to do with anti-Semitism and a helluva lot to do with the past and present actions of the state of Israel for it, without a doubt, always held the whip hand here. The Western media with its propaganda machine is currently engaged in the business of manufacturing consent for further atrocities to be conducted against the Palestinians of Gaza. Gaza was a pressure cooker always just waiting to explode - it was, in effect, Israel's panopticon where, apparently nothing happened without their knowledge or say so. This attack apparently proved them wrong. Although I'm sure there will be the usual 'Pearl Harbour' type claims made about it. A satisfactory peace accord for both Israelis and Palestinians needs to be pursued now for both their sakes.

Murray, whom I usually appreciate, is losing his way here. Certainly on this subject. Time for a sabbatical in the quiet room methinks.

Agree with much of what Murray says most of the time, but he's way out of line here and shows a wilful ignorance of the situation in Israel/Palestine.
