  2. The West never seems to learn. You can't export and transplant democracy where there is no real history of it. These great brutal tyrants are there because they're the only ones who can hold these places together and offer any sense of stability. Remove them and you create a vacuum, you get anarchy and leave the place far, far worse than when you found it. Look at Iraq, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan. Further to that you then often create an immigration issue you didn't have before. Learn to leave well alone and stop listening to the warmongers.
