  2. The original sin was Russiagate and the dodgy Steele Dossier funded by the Dems. This was where the rot started proper. It poisoned the well of US politics. It was a systematic sustained attempt by the Democrats to delegitimise Trump's presidency from the off in 2016, gave the middle finger to those Republicans who voted for him and was in itself effectively an attempt at a coup d'état with the aid of a complicit, unquestioning media. All roads lead to Russiagate in my opinion which is why a good many left-wing journalists worth their salt are now finally showing it up for the fraud it is and was. The sad thing is what goes around eventually comes around and this running sore looks set to run and run.
