Cliché alert!! The one thing that covid proved was that common sense just isn't very common. So much of this was just SO bleeding obvious, particularly after the 'first wave' and the first lockdown and yet our political masters got the bit between their teeth and 'compassionate' authoritarianism ruled usually with the majority's full blessing sadly. If nothing else it just goes to show quite how fragile our democracies and the rights we often take for granted really are.

Of course, probably the acid test here is what's happening in China. With none of multiple mRNA jabs that apparently saved the West from oblivion and no more lockdowns are the Chinese dropping like flies or are they just getting on with things? Perhaps the government there is doing a magnificent job of covering up significant death rates and if they are I'd seriously like to know quite how.
