  1. Some journalists still care about just that, journalism. Call it an art or a craft, people like Rod Liddell clearly just care about it for what it is ie not a blunt tool of propaganda to bludgeon people into submission with.

  4. Twitter has become the goto tool for lazy journalism. It's as simple as that. Back in the old days it was things like press releases that helped to fulfil the role of making journalists' life easier. If it were vaguely interesting, rejig the wording a wee bit and they were good to go. Another space filled and job done. Twitter today fulfills a similar role for lazy journalism and yet carries far more weight than it should do amplifying every assholes opinion to the point of toxicity. Again. Job done.
