Yep. It's a bitter pill but it looks like we're the baddies.

For self-serving prevailing narrative reasons, we're all encouraged to fixate on 'the public debt', but we should actually be fixating on 'the private surplus'. The latter being equal to the exact penny of the former.

This is why you should never trust ANY mainstream economists. They are nothing better than high priests, apologists and paid shills for the debt mongering cult.

2008 and the bailouts should have proved beyond ANY reasonable doubt to people that the debts always get socialized and the profits privatized.

Austerity is invariably a political choice. A political choice dressed up and sold to the more naive and suggestible as an economic one based on a fictitious, if credible narrative. Or to put it more pithily, 'socialism is the preserve of the rich, capitalism is reserved for the poor'.

According to Fortune America's top 10% are $28trn richer, yep that's trillion, since 2020. If true they obviously have a real gift and it makes you wonder what might have happened that might have enabled such off the charts 'wealth creation'?

It's not just totally 'irrational', it's totally immoral.

The US Military Industrial Complex loves, loves, lurves the burgeoning US national debt. The bigger the better. This is a major reason why the US foments conflicts across the globe and doesn't care whether it 'wins' them or not. In many cases it's better if they simply drag on. Why do you think so billions of military hardware was abandoned so easily in Afghanistan when the US withdrew? All grist to the US death and money mills.

The specious growing national debt narrative is nothing but a useful lie peddled to justify austerity. What is actually points to, overwhelmingly, is the criminal establishment policy of serially undertaxing the wealthy. There is none so blind as those who will not see. Open your eyes people.

In recent months it's becoming more apparent that YT is clamping down on sites like these and their below line comments...hmmm.

Technically, although arguably not practically as no European countries really were, Franco's Spain (as well as dictator Salazar's Portugal) was a neutral country in WW2. Neutral Sweden provided Hitler's war machine with vital iron ore and ball bearings for example and neutral Ireland havered between supporting both the British war effort and the Nazis for its own political reasons. In terms of Western hypocrisy regarding defending and exporting the liberal democratic ideal one need look no further than its attitude to countries like Saudi Arabia over the decades. A hard and fast principle it is not. Basically, it's the ideal form of governance except where it isn't and doesn't suit.

Anyone who doubts this should ask themselves why, as the economy apparently grows annually and the nation gets richer, why many people feel and are effectively getting poorer.
