  1. Truth is like wisdom. No-one has a monopoly on it. Those who constantly try to limit free speech are essentially saying that most people are incapable of making up their own minds so let us do it for you. At its heart it's a trust issue and it boils down to a small group of largely faceless, unaccountable, powerful people saying that 'the masses' can't be trusted to think the 'the right thoughts' so they need to be told what those 'right thoughts' are. Toxic for democracy and toxic for intellectual progression.
