  8.  @maria369  My only problem is with people who not only won't listen to others, but who also believe others shouldn't be able to either. You're perfectly entitled to disagree with Varoufakis but resorting to ad hominems and saying his opinions aren't worthy of attention speaks volumes.

  9. Reading some of the comments here it's quite clear that this is not even a discussion that should be being had. Only Putin's removal, Russia's abject defeat and Ukraine's victory will suffice. All fair enough, I guess, but if that's the case then people should be aware of the fact that there are and will be consequences for that dualist view. Consequences that they themselves have largely yet to bear and consequences which some posting here may be fortunate enough to be well placed to avoid. The story of the Ukraine since the end of the cold war and NATO's expansion has been well-documented historically and its direction repeatedly warned against and what we are undeniably seeing are 'the fruits' of that. By all means dismiss it out of hand and denounce anyone who chooses to point that out like Varoufakis as an apologist for the horrors happening there, but just be prepared to suffer without complaint the consequences of your own choices and what you are advocating and perhaps be a little more vocal and pro-active when other such atrocities regularly occur elsewhere in the world? Y'know, be a little more morally consistent. Look forward to it.
