@proselytizingorthodoxpente8304 So these places are, presumably, infinitely better today than they were before specifically thanks to US interventions to your mind? Point being that invading other countries, often under proven entirely false pretexts, for your own ends isn't a good look nevermind particularly pleasant for those on the receiving end of it.

@Lucaf_2008 That's one of the saddest things. I'd say some of the nicest people I've ever met are Americans, but the country's political, military, industrial and financial establishments utterly stink.

@willmercury MY righteousness? You're kidding right? It's called having two eyes, two ears and more than two braincells. If you were remotely interested you'd find out for yourself or have found out by now. I recommend listening to John Pilger on Iraq if you're genuinely interested, but I strongly suspect you're not.

@JDAbelRN As Molly Ivins quipped, “It’s hard to convince people that you are killing them for their own good.”

Cutting through the BS here, the point here really is which side is genuinely losing the war here if either. We're obviously subjected to propaganda/lies from both sides, at least those who are genuinely interested in discovering the truth are, and at some point it will become obvious as to who was doing the majority of the porky pie-ing. Regardless, as far as I can see, Russia cannot afford to be seen to lose this war either domestically or internationally whereas the West can. Frankly, it's just another proxy war and it has far less skin in the game. It'll lick its wounds, spin the outcome for all it's worth and move on. A nuclear and much depleted Russia losing on the other hand is an entirely different kettle of fish....
