Bjorn Lomberg has already long debunked a lot of this stuff regarding US forest fires. The claims made by the US forestry services state that fires and acres destroyed have increased considerably since the late 50 and early 60s and that's the only data they put out. It shows an erratic rise, but nothing too substantial, particularly given how much higher the US population over those post war decades. Thankfully Lomberg took the trouble to look back further at their own information and found that in 1932, I think it was, there was 10 x more destruction by forest fires than in 2017. One of the worst recent years. US Forest fire destruction has fallen precipitously since the 1930s in terms of acreage destroyed, but sadly that doesn't fit the climate change narrative. And before some smart arse claims there's far less forest today there is, more or less, exactly the same acreage as there was in the US at the beginning of the 20th century. Possibly slightly more. By far the bulk of US forest destruction occurred in the 200 years preceding the 20th century.

@sentientflower7891 Yeah, problem with that is that those are actual historical figures from the US Forestry Services.
