  1. This was what the 1980s, deindustrialization and off-shoring were all about. Look at how much debt has been added to our economies over the last four decades, look how much we're producing globally ie about the same and look how wages have all but stagnated in real terms. Thankfully, for the blessed few, there are way more than enough people out there dumb enough to believe the narrative or feel sufficiently invested in it to perpetuate it.
