  2. I was shocked when Russia invaded Ukraine last year. Didn't think it would happen. Bought into the narrative that Putin was the next Hitler trying to reestablish the Soviet Russian empire. Just goes to show though, having learned what I've now learned about the historical events that led up to the invasion I'm not remotely surprised. This war should never have happened and the West through a US led NATO has played a pivotal role in provoking it in the first place.
