  1. Great discussion that attempts to get to the heart of this tragedy with all its complexity, competing narratives and contradictions all before what turned out to be a not guilty verdict. My biggest worry here is that a few democratic politicians and most notably President Biden saw fit to discredit this verdict right from the off. In any democracy either you have a separate independent executive, legislature and judiciary that openly respects, without necessarily agreeing with, the decisions each other makes or you don't, and once you don't then it's goodbye democracy.
