Trump, an hour ago, said he hasn't ruled out seizing Greenland by military force. This, for sure, is part of his 'art of the deal' playbook but the world, largely driven by America's 'ambitions', is moving into ever darker places and it's not just due to Trump.

@Frisbieinstein The United States is becoming increasingly belligerent - it was even before Trump - as it is seeing its unipolar grip on the world being challenged in its eyes principally by China. Talk of it seizing geopolitically strategic sites like the Panama Canal and a resource rich, underdeveloped Greenland, albeit from an ally, would follow this playbook.

@Chris-Someguy It's difficult to work out what it is becoming. It's been imperialist, expansionist and belligerent for decades now, but this would certainly mark a turning point in terms of quite how brazen its 'winner takes all' foreign policy is becoming. Even the mask of upholding Western values and the maintaining of a rules based order has slipped. Either way it is now the greatest threat to world peace and the survival of mankind ever.
