  2. Mearsheimer, whom I don't always agree with incidentally, was 100% correct when he said in 2014 that Ukraine was being led down 'the primrose path' by Nato and, principally, the US. Taken from Hamlet, Shakespeare knew his sh*t people and Ukraine is now counting the cost both in terms of lives lost and now, allegedly, its treasure.

  4. The one thing that the US wished to always prevent was close ties between Russia and China. The latter which it now perceives as its arch enemy over and above even Russia. The US long fomented, funded and armed war in Ukraine 'achieved' precisely that. Particularly if I were Russian or Chinese I'd be mighty circumspect as to what the US is currently up to to be honest.

  6. The weird thing here is how the Russians are apparently, and I stress 'apparently', quite happy to now deal exclusively with the US here ie to the exclusion of BOTH Europe and Ukraine. The country which was the primary fomentor, funder and supplier for this war. A war which has left hundreds of thousands of Russians dead. ????
